We (Richard and Julie) welcome you to share our family home in Hathersage. Come and relax, enjoy the wonderful scenery and numerous places to visit, eat and drink nearby.
We would like to know if you have any special requests, special diets, would like advice on how to spend your time, what to do and see, where to eat or ideas for creating that special occasion. Please don’t hesitate to ask – our experience and local knowledge is invaluable.
Welcome to our beautiful period home in Hathersage in the heart of the Peak District. This grand Victorian former Gentleman's residence has been lovingly restored over the past 10 years and has been in the family for 4 generations. We have one large en-suite guest bedroom with super-king (6 foot) or twin beds, and guests have exclusive use of a private sitting room where a self-service continental breakfast is provided. Close to a range of local shops, pubs and restaurants.
The guest bedroom is South facing with huge windows overlooking the valley. There is a small but modern en-suite shower room. The bedroom can be set up either as twin beds or as a lovely big superking bed (6ft) adorned with feather down duvets and white Egyptian cotton linen and towels. There is a fridge in the bedroom with chilled water and fresh milk as well as a hospitality tray complete with Espresso coffee machine.
Guests have exclusive use of a private sitting room complete with open fire. This is where a tasty selection of Continental breakfast items will be laid out for you to help yourself at your leisure.
The garden is pretty with spectacular views and you are invited to sit outside with a cup of tea or a glass or wine.
We have two dogs (a Great Dane and an English Springer Spaniel) and although we would endeavour to keep them away from our guests we would ask that you telephone us should you think that this may present a problem. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate guests’ dogs.
Enjoy a tasty selection of continental breakfast items which will be provided for you to help yourself at your leisure. You can choose when to take breakfast & what to eat - be it muesli with fruit compote and yogurt, a variety of freshly baked breads & pastries, selection of ground coffee and speciality teas together with a platter of cold meats and cheese.
We are committed to trying to provide the best possible service to guests with restricted movement and ability. We would ask that you contact us by e-mail to discuss your particular requirements and we will get back to you as soon as possible with advice and information.
The driveway is flat and cars may be parked close to the entrance porch. The guest bedroom is accessed via a large stairway on the first floor and although we have tried to ensure it is as accessible as possible it has limitations.
