Sladen sits in the midst of the Peak District National Park. It nestles in the Hope Valley amongst gently rolling hills and dramatic gritstone edges. Hathersage village is a few minutes walk away from the house. It is a walker’s paradise and a sightseeing haven which is located in a truly beautiful part of England.
Hathersage is a traditional, pretty and unspoilt village with a range of small shops, pubs and restaurants. Food, dining out and a pint of beer are all closeby! There are tennis courts, a childrens playpark and a 30m heated outdoor pool which is open from April to October. There is a good range of convenience stores for those last minute provisions.
Hathersage really is the perfect base for a walking holiday. You don’t need to drive anywhere – you could spend days walking from Sladen and never take the same footpath.
